How Gali's Escrow Payment Actually Works (Step by Step)
From listing to payout: the exact flow of a Gali trade, and where the money sits at each stage.
By Gali Team · 15 July 2026
Here is the full life of a trade.
1. List or buy
A seller lists an item. A buyer commits to buy it.
2. Money is locked
The buyer pays. The funds move into escrow, not the seller's bank. The seller is notified to deliver.
3. Meet on campus
Both sides pick a handoff spot: faculty, library, plaza. The seller brings the item.
4. Inspect and confirm
The buyer checks the item. If it is good, they confirm in the app.
5. Payout
Escrow releases the money to the seller. Done.
If something is wrong
The buyer does not confirm. The money stays in escrow and a dispute is opened. No silent disappearance.
